A Little Bit of This, a Little Bit of That
This update is a little different than ones in the past. It’s more tidbits of information, projects, happenings, and photos from Camp. I hope you all enjoy it.
Opening Camp for the 2025 Season
Ice-Out and Move-In Day
Bill and I drove all the way into Camp for the first time this season on May 4th. The ice was out when we arrived, but there was still snow on the edges of the Pond. On May 5th, Bill, Rascal, and I moved into Camp for the season, and Jeff and Brunhilda joined us the next day. The first six days we were in Camp, it rained, making opening Camp a bit more soggy and colder than we preferred.
Snow on Opening Day
It was snowing on opening day, May 23rd. During the first full week of being open, it did not get above 50 degrees.

The June 1st Storm
On June 1st, we had quite the storm come in early in the morning. When Bill got to the Lodge at 5am, the wind was blowing something wicked, and it was raining. He looked down at the dock and realized the boats were going under water. He was able to get them up on shore.
